What are Veneered Panels?

Veneered panels are engineered wood products consisting of a core material (typically MDF, particleboard, or plywood) covered with a thin layer of real wood veneer. These panels combine the aesthetic appeal of solid wood with the stability, consistency, and cost-effectiveness of engineered materials.

Oak Veneered MDF Panel Construction

Our oak veneered MDF panels feature a high-quality medium-density fiberboard core that provides excellent dimensional stability and a smooth, flat surface for the veneer application. The natural oak veneer is carefully selected for quality and appearance, then bonded to the MDF core using advanced adhesives and pressing techniques to ensure a strong, long-lasting bond.

Quality and Finish

Each panel undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure consistent appearance and performance. The oak veneer surface is sanded to a smooth finish, ready for the application of your preferred finish treatment (varnish, oil, stain, etc.). We offer both unfinished panels for custom finishing and pre-finished options with protective coatings already applied.

Ideal Application Areas

Oak veneered MDF panels are versatile and can be used in various applications:

Wall Panels

Create stunning feature walls and wall paneling in residential and commercial spaces. The panels can be installed as full wall coverage or as decorative elements.

Furniture Production

Ideal for manufacturing tables, cabinets, shelving units, and other furniture pieces. The ready-made panels save time in production while providing a beautiful wood surface.

Interior Doors

Perfect for creating high-quality interior doors with the appearance of solid wood at a more accessible price point.

Retail Fixtures

Commonly used for display units, counters, and other fixtures in retail environments where an elegant wood appearance is desired.

Architectural Elements

Can be used for various architectural elements such as columns, beams, and decorative features in interior spaces.

Installation Guide

Proper installation ensures the best results with our veneered panels:

Preparation

Allow panels to acclimate to the installation environment for at least 48 hours before installation. Store panels flat in the room where they will be installed to adjust to temperature and humidity conditions.

Wall Panel Installation

For wall applications, ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and level. Panels can be installed using construction adhesive, mechanical fasteners, or a combination of both. When using fasteners, pre-drill holes to prevent splitting and consider decorative caps or plugs to conceal screw heads.

Furniture Construction

When using panels for furniture, follow standard woodworking practices for cutting, joining, and finishing. Use sharp tools to prevent chipping of the veneer. Apply edge banding to exposed MDF edges for a finished appearance.

Finishing

If using unfinished panels, sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper before applying your chosen finish. Apply sealers, stains, varnishes, or oils according to manufacturer instructions. Multiple thin coats typically yield better results than a single thick coat.

Maintenance

Clean finished panels with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and excessive moisture. Periodically reapply finish as needed to maintain protection and appearance.
